At trade & tonic, we want you to be completely satisfied with our Service. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for paid subscriptions.

Important: We are NOT a broker or financial service provider. This refund policy applies only to subscription fees for our educational platform, not to any trading losses or investment outcomes.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

2.1 New Subscriptions

If you purchase a paid subscription (Pro tier), you have 14 days from the purchase date to request a full refund for any reason.

Eligibility:

  • Must be your first paid subscription with trade & tonic

  • Request must be made within 14 days of payment

  • Applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions

  • No questions asked - we'll process your refund immediately

2.2 How to Request

To request a refund within 14 days:

  2. Include your account email and order/transaction ID

  3. We'll process your refund within 3-5 business days

2.3 What Happens After Refund

  • Your account reverts to Free tier (3 analyses/day)

  • You lose access to Pro features immediately

  • Historical analysis data is preserved

  • You can upgrade again anytime

3. Subscription Renewals

3.1 No Refunds After 14 Days

After the 14-day guarantee period, subscription fees are non-refundable for:

  • Partial subscription periods

  • Unused portions of the subscription

  • Renewal payments

  • Subscription upgrades or downgrades

3.2 Why Non-Refundable?

Subscription services provide continuous access to:

  • AI analysis infrastructure

  • Real-time market data

  • Cloud computing resources

  • Ongoing platform maintenance

These costs are incurred immediately when you subscribe, not proportionally over time.

3.3 Cancel Anytime

While we don't offer prorated refunds, you can cancel your subscription anytime to prevent future charges:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

  • You retain access until the period ends

  • No cancellation fees

4. How to Cancel Your Subscription

  3. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current period

  • Your account email

  • We'll process cancellation within 24 hours

4.3 After Cancellation

  • Access to Pro features continues until period end

  • Your account automatically downgrades to Free tier

  • No further charges

  • Reactivate anytime (new billing period starts)

5. Free Tier Accounts

5.1 No Refunds

Free tier accounts do not involve payment, so refunds do not apply. The Free tier provides:

  • 3 comprehensive stock analyses per day

  • Access to basic platform features

  • No credit card required

  • No hidden fees

5.2 Upgrade Anytime

You can upgrade to Pro tier anytime. The 14-day money-back guarantee applies to your first paid subscription.

6. Special Circumstances

6.1 Service Outages

If our Service experiences significant downtime (>24 hours) due to our fault:

  • Pro users may receive account credit

  • Credit amount determined case-by-case based on impact

  • Contact support@tradeandtonic.com to request credit

6.2 Billing Errors

If you were charged incorrectly due to our error:

  • Full refund of the erroneous charge

  • Immediate correction of billing

  • No questions asked

6.3 Duplicate Charges

If you were charged twice for the same subscription:

  • Immediate refund of duplicate charge

  • Apology and investigation to prevent recurrence

6.4 Unauthorized Charges

If someone used your payment method without permission:

  • We'll work with Paddle (our payment processor) to investigate

  • Refund issued if fraud is confirmed

  • Secure your account and change password

7. Payment Processing

7.1 Merchant of Record

All payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles:

  • Payment processing

  • Refund processing

  • VAT/sales tax collection

  • Billing inquiries

7.2 Refund Timeline

  • 14-day guarantee refunds: 3-5 business days

  • Billing error refunds: 3-5 business days

  • Refunds appear on your statement: Depends on your bank (typically 5-10 days)

7.3 Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method:

  • Credit card refunds → original card

  • PayPal refunds → PayPal account

  • Other methods → original payment source

7.4 Currency

Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency (EUR, USD, etc.).

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following are NOT eligible for refunds under any circumstances:

  • Poor investment outcomes

  • Whether you "used the service enough"

  • Personal circumstances after 14 days

9. Chargebacks

9.2 Chargeback Consequences

If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first:

  • Your account may be permanently suspended

Legitimate chargebacks (fraud, unauthorized charges) are always acceptable. We'll cooperate fully with investigations.
